HOW IT GOT STARTED
For a few years now I have been interested in how LGBTQ+ people have been and are currently represented in media, mostly focusing on tv and film.
The evolution of queer representation in mainstream media has always fascinated and frustrated me, as even though we preach progression, the range of content for LGBTQ+ people young and old is still minimal and at time stereotyped. This may be because the stories are written, produced and directed by Cis/Het people.
I am interested in creating a space where LGBT people are at the heart and leading the creation of LGBT content. Telling their stories through different forms of media: short films, short series and documentaries. As well as other media forms such as short stories, novels, webcomics and art.
ABOUT ME
My name is Emerson Pipes, I live in the Uk and attended Sheffield Hallam University to study Film and Media Production.

I have a keen interest in Screenwriting and directing LGBT centred media. Writing LGBT stories and short stories have always been a hobby of mine.

I also make cosplays/costumes as a hobby and enjoy experimenting with different forms of storytelling through makeup and short-form media.
